Stainless Steel Chain Martingale Collar
MAX AND NEO DOG GEAR - STAINLESS STEEL CHAIN MARTINGALE COLLAR
WHAT IS A MARTINGALE COLLAR?
The main difference between a martingale collar and a regular collar is that it tightens up as a dog pulls. The purpose of this is not to choke a dog, but to prevent a dog from escape the collar. Many dogs have heads that are the same size or smaller than its neck. With a regular collar, when a dog backs up from up, it may be able to slip a regular collar. With a martingale collar, when this happens, the collar tightens and prevents it from come up over a dog's head.
"MANY DOG RESCUES ONLY EXCLUSIVELY USE MARTINGALE COLLARS"
Our martingale collars are measured with the chain fully extended. When measuring your dogs neck, please measure his neck near the top portion and be sure to press down through all its fur to get an accurate measurement. Most people do not press down the fur to get a correct measurement. This leads to them over measuring their dog's neck. And leads to them ordering a size that is too large.
When the collar is on your dog, the D-rings at the ends of the chain should not touch. The chain should be extended. If you pull on the chain and the collar does not tighten, then the collar is too large and must be adjusted smaller.
GREAT FOR TRAINING
A martingale collar also tightens if the dog is pulling on a leash. You can give your dog slight corrections and it will respond much better than if it were wearing a regular collar.
YOUR PURCHASE HELPS A DOG RESCUE
For every collar sold, we donate an identical collar to a dog rescue. Dog rescues are in constant need of dog supplies. We donate 1 for 1 for every purchase. By purchasing one of our dog collars, you receive a premium high quality collar and you donate one to a rescue. Together we can support dog rescues with a never ending supply of collars.
Each month we donate to different rescues throughout the USA. At the end of every month, we tally up the number of leashes and collars sold. Based on the number, we determine how many rescues we can donate to for that month. We donate down our list of rescues until each one has received a donation and then we go back to the top of our list. In special cases, we will donate to rescues out of turn based on their immediate needs.

Which collar do you want your dog to have at night? Test out our collar yourself by shining a light at it in the dark. We think you will be impressed at its reflectivity.
The chain martingale collar uses 2mm wide bands of reflective stitching around both edges of the collar. This gives the collar a large amount of reflective surface area compared to other collars.
